			<title>Uniqname:  Uniqname creation failure</title>

			<description>During a period of time uniqname administrators would not have been able to allocate uniqnames that corresponded to people. All other uniqname operations were unaffected. Uniqname is now functioning properly.

			<title>ITCS Exchange:  ITCS Exchange Service</title>

			<description>All cluster nodes hosting Exchange 2003/2007 experienced an issue with network connectivity due to problems with the distrubution switches in Arbor Lakes Data Center.   

Users with mailboxes on these node have experienced approximately an outage while this occurred.  Users may need to close their mail client and restart it to connect to their mailbox again.

			<description>We are currently investigating a fiber cut on North Campus between Arbor Lakes and Cooley.  At this point it appears to be affecting redundant links, however some services may be degraded until the cable is restored.  We are still in the process of dispatching technicians to locate the problem.

			<description>The cluster node hosting ECLUST2-VS4 experienced an issue with fragmented memory and the virtual server was moved to another cluster node.  Users with mailboxes on ECLUST2-VS4 experienced approximately a 1 minute outage while this occurred.  Users may need to close their mail client and restart it to connect to their mailbox again.

ITCS will be investigating the cause of this issue and will take necessary actions to address the situation so that it will not occur in the future.  We are sorry for this inconvenience.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact exchange.support@umich.edu.
