| ITCS Exchange, Telephones/VoiceMail, Exchange Voicemail - Personal Operator |
| Unified Messaging Servers |
End-users that use the Exchange voice mail personal operator (or zero out) feature to dial another extension from the voicemail greeting are unable to do so.
When a user presses 0 during the voicemail greeting for the operator it is simply ignored by the system now since a critical security configuration change was made this past Friday (10/2/09).

10/17/09 (9:25 PM) Update:
The workaround has been successfully applied to users with personal operator extensions. Spot checks on random extensions were successfully transferred to personal operators. ITCom Engineering has confirmed service has been restored. Thank you again for your patience.
10/17/09 Update:
A workaround has been verified that restores personal operator service but is not yet fully implemented in production.
10/12/09 Update:
This is a status notification that we are continuing to test and explore possible workarounds with the vendor regarding issue. Thank you for your patience.
We are currently working with the vendor in hope of a patch or workaround, but security is highest priority.
Because of this, the personal operator feature will be unavailable indefinitely until we know more from Microsoft. |
