Symptoms: The MCommunity Sponsor System will be upgraded to v1.7.6.

During the upgrade/outage window, users already logged into the Sponsor System will have their sessions terminated, and new users will not be able to log into the Sponsor System.

Also, the web service interface to the Sponsor System will be unavailable during the upgrade.
Comments: Testing failed during deployment, so the application was rolled back to the previous version prior to the end of the maintenance window. This application update will need to be rescheduled.

Update: The underlying cause of failure has been fixed, so we will deploy v1.7.6 between 00:00 and 01:00 on Tuesday, October 27.

Update: Version 1.7.6 of the Sponsor System was successfully rolled to production at 00:00 on 10/27/2009. Service was restored within ~5 minutes.
