Symptoms: A large number of websites relying upon oracle database ( kannada.world) for web applications will be unable to connect to the database. Symptoms will vary depending on how the web application author chose to deal with a database connection failure.

Update: Maintenance took longer than expected because of complication in setting up standby server. Standby server is up and replicating production in another data center.
